Barbecue in the morning? of course!
Fried breakfast recipes

Everyone can have a barbecue in the evening! But why wait so long? Let’s start the day with a delicious breakfast brunch from the bakery.

Sweet or savory: we’ve got three incredibly sweet and easy recipes for you – so get on the griddle!

Three ingredient banana pancakes

So sweet and so easy! Fluffy pancakes can definitely be made very easily and quickly with only three ingredients at home. Another advantage: thanks to the bananas in the dough and toppings like blueberries, raspberries or maple syrup, you can do without industrial sugar completely. The small fruits contain only a little fructose and still give the right sweetness to your pancakes.

Ingredients for 14 small pancakes;

  • 4 bananas (preferably ripe)
  • 6 eggs (medium size)
  • 120 g of flour

This is how it is done

The preparation of small pancakes takes only a few minutes. Step #1 is to peel and mash the bananas. A fork works best for this. Tip: The more ripe the banana, the tastier the pancakes.

Then break the eggs and add to the banana. The flour is added and mixed well. After all the ingredients are well mixed, some butter or vegetable oil is put into the pan and then directly into the grill. Fry the pancakes for 2 minutes on both sides until golden brown.

Decorate with any toppings and enjoy!

Warm muesli from the grill

Warm muesli from the grill

This recipe comes from Volker Ilm, President of the German Barbecue Association. And you have to get to this point to get the idea of grilling muesli. You won’t get anywhere with nuts and chopped fruit on the grill – you need a grill wok for that. But in general, it is a good idea if you develop a taste for special fried foods.

(Ingredients for 4 people)

  • 150 g muesli (as per your choice)
  • 1 apple (sliced)
  • 1 pear (chopped)
  • 4 dried apricots (chopped)
  • 30 g sultanas (boiled)
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 100 ml of cream
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

This is how it is done

First, the sugar is caramelized in a wok on low heat. It is important not to overdo it with the temperature, otherwise the sugar will burn. As soon as the sugar is completely liquid, apple and pear cubes are added. Important: do not stir immediately, otherwise you will end up with all the carrots on your spoon! Apples and pears lose liquid, which combines with caramel. Only after 2-3 minutes should you stir the fruit slices. Now add the apricots and sultanas and mix well.

When the fruit is caramelized, add muesli, milk and cream. Now the temperature can be increased and the milk-cream mixture is brought to the heat for a short time. Oatmeal gradually absorbs the liquid. Muesli is stirred occasionally on low heat until the milk-cream mixture is completely reduced or absorbed by the mousse.

Then the muesli is decorated with apple and pear slices, sprinkled with a little honey and served hot.

Breakfast pan à la English breakfast

Breakfast pan à la English breakfast

A quick recipe with potatoes, bacon and eggs is a very good and very tasty pan. Everything can be grilled for a short time and served for breakfast.

  • 4 potatoes
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 sausages of your choice
  • 200 g of bacon
  • 150 g of fried cheese
  • One red onion
  • 100 grams of mushrooms
  • Two red peppers
  • Salt and pepper
  • Basil

Tip: For a vegetarian version, simply replace the meat with thin strips of zucchini.

This is how it is done

First, the potatoes are cleaned and boiled in salt water until ready. Meanwhile, the vegetables can be washed and cut. The mushrooms are quartered, the red onion is cleaned and, like the two peppers, cut into pieces. Bacon and sausage are also brought to bite size.

Heat the grill to 200 degrees and fry the meat in the cast iron pan. Continue with potatoes, which are cut into bite-sized pieces and put in a pan together with onions, peppers and mushrooms. After 10 minutes on medium heat, everything is covered with pepper and salt and grated cheese is added. As a final step, the eggs are fried in a separate pan and placed on the stove.

Serve the breakfast casserole immediately, topped with plenty of fresh basil.
