This fruit plum marble cake is perfect for late summer!


  1. Wash the plums, halve them and stone them. Cream together the butter, sugar and a pinch of salt. Mix eggs one by one. Mix flour and baking powder, mix in 2 tbsp milk. Divide the dough in half, mix the cocoa and plum jam in one half.

  2. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees fan. Pour the light and dark batter alternately into a well-greased baking pan (30 cm long, 1.8 liter capacity), adjusting each layer. Close the plums together at the top.

  3. Bake in a preheated oven for 50 minutes. Do the chopstick test. Remove, allow to cool briefly, then carefully turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

  4. Mix powdered sugar with 2-3 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Pour the coating over the cake and let it dry. It tastes good with sour cream.
